CHEESE & WINE TASTING EVENINGS

We have started to run a cheese and wine tasting evening once a month in conjunction with Cafe Porto on Rodney Street, L1.  The evenings are extremely popular and quickly booked up, contact us or check out our Facebook page for more details.

Tues 3rd August 2010 - Mediterranean cheese and Portuguese wine - tickets £20 each

Wed 19th September 2010 - Local cheese and beer night * Special event in honour of the Liverpool Food and drink festival, tickets only £15 each

SUMMER CHEESE & WINE TASTING CAFE PORTO

The first cheese and wine evening on 30th June was a great success, we all went home clutching our goody bags, full of cheese and a little bit tipsy - what more could you ask?

Sean Wilson - Cheese tasting

We were delighted to be joined at our stall at the October Woolton market by Sean Wilson to sample some award winning new cheeses from the Saddleworth Cheese Company.  The Saddleworth Cheese Company makes traditional Lancashire cheeses. Sean is a well known face to many as he used to play Martin Platt on Coronation Street!

French Students visit April 2009

We were delighted to host the visit of 24 French students from the catering school of Thonon les Bains in Haute Savoie, close to Geneva. Impressively, these students, some as young as 15 actually manage a hotel and restaurant at the college.  Visit www.ecole-hoteliere-thonon.com for more information or to book a stay!
